Kinsmen Club of Edmonton Annual Dinner & Auction
Saturday, April 8, 2006 - Shaw Conference Centre

Thank you for your interest in the Kinsmen Dinner & Auction. This event is the largest single day fund raising event operated by the Kinsmen Club of Edmonton! Last year’s event raised over $24,000!

Members of the Club are approaching the Edmonton and area business community to secure donations for this year’s auction. Donations of all types are greatly appreciated and, of course, all of our donation partners are recognized during the event.

Last year’s event featured several high profile live auction items including "Live Behind the Scenes of Hockey Night in Canada", an evening for two hosted by CBC Sports Anchor Mark Connolly, a member of our club, "An Evening for Eight at The Hardware Grill", a five course dinner with wines for each course, in the private wine cellar dining room at one of Edmonton’s finest restaurants, and an autographed Bobby Orr print with him holding the Stanley Cup.

The Auction is held in support of The Kinsmen Club of Edmonton’s general fundraising activities. Last year the Club raised over $330,000 for charities and non-profit community groups in Edmonton. Some of the programs we support include:
  • BBQ Canada supporting Canadian Beef producers
  • Partnered with Edmonton Oilers for Heritage Classic 50/50 draw
  • Support Cystic Fibrosis - nationally Kinsmen have donated millions to help research efforts
  • Built and continue to operate Kinsmen Twin Ice Arenas
  • Built Kinsmen Field House
  • Operate Kinsmen Park Pitch & Putt Golf Course
  • Provide scholarships to outstanding students in EVERY high school in Edmonton
  • Through Operation Friendship provide meals for needy seniors in the inner city
  • Provide free public skating on Sundays at all Edmonton arenas
  • Say Hay West Campaign
  • Partnered with Edmonton Oilers for Superpages Kids Fun Fest
We greatly appreciate your participation in this event to help our Club continue its support of community projects in keeping with our motto, "Serving The Community’s Greatest Need".

The Kinsmen Club of Edmonton thanks you for your consideration and looks forward to having you as a donation partner or in attendance for our 2006 Auction.

Sincerely,
The Kinsmen Club of Edmonton

"SERVING THE COMMUNITY’S GREATEST NEED"
